On October 23, we had the honor of hosting a significant institutional visit to our quarry. The President of the Veneto Regional Council, Roberto Ciambetti, accompanied by Roberto Grande, Head of Cabinet, and Maurizio Zordan, Mayor of Valdagno, visited us to gain deeper insight into our work. This visit was a valuable opportunity to showcase the dedication and values that have shaped our approach for over 60 years. These principles guide us in the extraction of Grolla Hard Limestone, a unique stone intrinsically tied to the landscape between Cornedo Vicentino and Valdagno.
Over the years, local residents have occasionally voiced concerns about the environmental impact of quarrying activities. We have always taken these concerns seriously, addressing them with transparency and a steadfast commitment to safe, environmentally conscious practices. Every step of our process is designed to protect the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. This visit provided a platform to demonstrate firsthand how we work and the measures we’ve implemented to ensure sustainability. The visiting authorities expressed their appreciation for our efforts, recognizing Grolla Hard Limestone as a symbol of Venetian excellence with immense potential on the international stage.
President Ciambetti praised our quarry as an exemplary model of harmony between business and nature: “This quarry is a shining example of how businesses can operate responsibly, returning a rehabilitated and enriched landscape to the community.”
We firmly believe our approach can inspire others. Our mission extends beyond delivering Grolla Hard Limestone to the global market; it’s about ensuring that every block we extract represents quality, sustainability, and respect for the land.
For us, sustainability is not just a guiding principle – it’s a daily commitment driving every decision we make. We will continue to work with passion and care, demonstrating that economic success and environmental preservation can go hand in hand. By valuing this extraordinary resource and contributing to the sustainable development of the Agno Valley, we aim to leave a lasting legacy of excellence and responsibility for future generations.
